About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional with experience in communications and project support to progress our organisational objectives.

The Project Officer (Communications) will provide project support, utilising their broad range of digital and analog communication skills in responding to communications enquiries, drafting social media posts, electronic direct mail and other e-bulletins, and simple graphic design in supporting the Workforce of Multilingual Health Educators (WOMHEn) Project and other activities of the organisation.

The role involves high level of organisation and digital communication and medium level stakeholder engagement to ensure that the GEN VIC vision is progressed.

To be considered for this position

You will be of migrant background with relevant experience working in communications. You will have strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise tasks and a keen interest in the women’s movement in Australia with insight and understanding of women’s health issues and the gender equity sector.

A respectful, committed and innovative team player, your skills and experience will include:

  • Qualifications in communication, administration, public health, management and or other relevant area.
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a communications role and in producing internal and external communications.
  • Experience in the use of digital communication, social media and coordination tools.
  • Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, digital file sharing platforms.
  • Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to operate effectively in a feminist work environment.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with thoughtfulness and efficiency.
