We are seeking a talented Program Coordinator, interested in managing program operations and managing the learner experience. As a Program Coordinator you will recruit and select students for one of our education to employment programs, by connecting with community partners, running info sessions and conducting interviews. You will be the face of Generation for your cohorts and own the delivery of the Orientation Week to students. You will be the glue of the program, engaging with delivery partners and working cross-functionally within the organisation to ensure a high quality program across the entire learner journey. You will report to the Programs Manager.

Type of role: Permanent, full time

Location: Sydney, remote work with some in person

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU'LL NEED:

  • At least 2 years experience in program coordination, preferably in a not for profit, start-up or social enterprise environment.
  • Experience working with disconnected communities and running programs to help support them to overcome challenges.
  • Experience attracting and selecting program participants and working with a wide array of stakeholders.
  • Experience working with CRMs, slack, G suite and outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to plan and anticipate need.
  • High degree of self-motivation and independence whilst also being a team player.
  • Self-reflective and open to feedback from students and the Generation team.
  • A professional demeanour, excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset required in the start-up environment to deliver against targets and seek opportunities for improvement/growth without instruction.

You are energised at the thought of supporting people into employment and on their personal development journey. You have experience coordinating not-for-profit or social enterprise programs. You are comfortable diving into a role and using your initiative to overcome obstacles. You have immaculate attention to detail and are comfortable learning to use a variety of IT systems and processes. You have outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive spirit to work closely with participants and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. ​You are excellent at anticipating need and providing support to other team members to ensure programs run smoothly. Most importantly, you have a proven ability to tailor your communication in an honest, open, transparent, yet nurturing way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Recruitment & Selection

  • Connect with relevant organisations and community groups to advertise the program.
  • Develop eDM campaigns to connect with recruitment partners to increase applications
  • Run info sessions to increase interest in the program
  • Create marketing collateral and website content for us in advertising the program
  • Work with the programs team to implement changes to the selection process
  • Own the set-up process for the online recruitment platform
  • Process applications, interview potential candidates and run Selection Committees to select program participants
  • Providing ongoing assistance to students through the enrolment process to ensure turnout on Day 1 of the program
  • Conduct regular recruitment & selection reviews to help determine improvements and changes to the process

Learner Experience

  • Responsible for oversight of the learner experience journey and working with cross functional teams to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Manage the day-to-day logistical operations of the program, which may include booking venues, organising materials and coordinating guest speakers.
  • Liaising with students, employment support coordinator and employers to support in the work experience and job placement process.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely data collection to help inform program evaluation and monitor impact.
