Gidget Foundation Australia is seeking an experienced digital professional to support the Digital and Community Fundraising Director to coordinate all aspects of the organisation’s social media.

Gidget Foundation Australia (GFA) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports the emotional wellbeing of expectant and new parents to ensure those in need receive timely, appropriate, and specialist care.

About the role:

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced social media coordinator to join our growing team. The role is responsible for coordinating all of GFA’s social media aimed at increasing the Foundation’s online presence to educate on perinatal mental health and reduce stigma, drive referrals to GFA support and continuously grow community fundraising income.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Work with the Digital and Community Fundraising Director to prepare and execute annual social media strategy
  • Identify opportunities and new social media channels to grow reach into target audiences
  • Manage the GFA social media calendar
  • Maintain a consistent brand experience across all social media platforms
  • Create, curate and brief the graphic designers on all social media content
  • Coordinate the execution and monitoring of all content
  • Coordinate live broadcasts from GFA events
  • Monitor and respond to engagement on all social media posts with urgency
  • Coordinate and execute the Online Influencer program
  • Continuous monitoring of platform reporting to ensure that all social media content is optimised

A bit about you:

To succeed in the role, you will be passionate about social media, able to confidently navigate your way around Meta Business Manager, love being online, dedicated to making a difference through digital channels and a flexible team member who can collaborate well with others.

  • 3 years minimum demonstrated experience managing social media for a busy charity or brand
  • Strong copywriting, marketing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency and experience with video and photo editing tools including Canva
  • Lots of energy and initiative to make this role your own and contribute significantly to the Foundation
  • Highly flexible and organised with an ability to work across multiple projects and tasks
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector an advantage
