About the role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary sustainability and impact professional to take ownership of our company’s sustainability and impact focus and day to day initiatives which contribute to our Mission to accelerate the transition to a more circular and sustainable fashion system. As a Sustainability & Impact Lead at GlamCorner, you’ll be the champion for our Sustainability and Impact projects - both internally and externally. You’ll play an integral role in defining, implementing and story-telling on the sustainability and impact vision at one of Australia’s leading purpose driven fashion-tech companies. This exciting opportunity plays a pivotal role in influencing, shaping and reinforcing the sustainability and impact vision that defines our company and our industry’s future.

Reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with the COO, Engineering, Fulfilment Operations, Merchandising, Customer Experience, Finance and Marketing teams to embed sustainability and impact into everything that we do and to unify these initiatives under one single voice.

This opportunity will suit someone who is a great communicator as well as an analytical and process-driven thinker. We are looking for a sustainability professional who is genuinely passionate about sustainability and circular economy and who intends to dedicate their careers to fighting climate change. A successful candidate will take pride in their ability to prioritise key projects to maximise our business’ sustainability and impact goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Define, plan and implement our Annual Sustainability and Impact Mission Roadmap
  • Establish the company’s annual Impact Report
  • Be the Company’s champion for taking leadership in fostering and driving positive change in our industry
  • Lead the company’s Carbon Offset Strategy, Net Impact & LCA Reporting and Modern Slavery reporting where required
  • Work closely with our Brand, Marketing and Digital Product Teams to embed sustainability and impact story-telling in our brand assets - seasonal campaigns to packaging
  • Develop key impact metrics that can be implemented across the company to raise awareness around the impact of the textile waste on the environment
  • Be the champion for our continuous effort in improving our sustainability and impact metrics in line with our Sustainability and Impact Roadmap
  • Take ownership of our Company’s B Corp compliance and goals to improve our B Impact score and process our B Corp renewal when required
  • Grow, nurture and foster relationships with our key Sustainability & Impact partners
  • Generate regular impact reports and brand assets that can be shared with our key stakeholders - customers, brand partners, internal teams and investors
  • Lead our Give back, Take back, Repair and Recycle initiatives
  • Liaise with third party consultants from time to time to support projects related to sustainability and social impact
  • Represent GlamCorner at industry events when required
  • Work closely with the company’s Public Relations agency for various media and press opportunities arising from impact and community initiatives
  • Provide support with other key sustainability and impact related initiatives

About You

  • A trusted Impact leader who has 3 - 5 years experience in Sustainability sector leading and driving Sustainability and Impact initiatives including but not limited to Impact Reporting, LCA and B Corp certification
  • An analytical mindset with strong background in research
  • A continuous learner with a can-do attitude, problem solving ability, and the capacity to quickly understand business context and think through commercial implications
  • A self-starter with strong leadership and project management execution skill sets with a demonstrated ability to be pragmatic
  • Passion for innovation, backed by demonstrated ability to execute and deliver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to understand and articulate roadmap plans
