Good Neighbours is an international development NGO founded in 1991 for the purpose of reducing poverty in the most disadvantaged communities. Good Neighbours implements projects to protect child rights, strengthen global partnerships, and advocate for the rights of the most vulnerable across the globe.

Good Neighbours Australia office launched in 2018 under the auspices of the Good Neighbours’ partnership. Good Neighbours Australia currently implements domestic and overseas programs. We are registered with ACNC(Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission) and have Deductible Gift Recipient(DGR) Status.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

An integral senior of Good Neighbours Australia, adopting a professional, informed and principles-based approach, you will be responsible for:

  • Manager the day-to-day administrative operations and deliver professional administrative support to other departments
  • Support HR functions including but not limited to employee onboarding & off-boarding arrangement etc.
  • Maintain the staff personnel files in a secured and confidential location
  • Responsible for annual budget and external audit
  • Assist the Executive Director in organising and supervising the business activities
  • Perform any ad hoc projects and assignments as requested by the Director

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role at a similar level
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Management or related disciplines
  • Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation, Health & Safety, and HR best practice
  • Experience within a Bookkeeping or Accounting practice
  • Proven ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment by sharing information, supporting team priorities, and ensuring open communication.
  • Willingness to be proactive and help others, contribute to the continuous improvement of a positive, collaborative and effective work environment
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, ability to relate meaningfully to people at all levels, and ability to explain complex technical matters clearly and succinctly
  • Comfortable liaising at all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The obvious qualities of having a high ethical standard, honesty, exceptional time management, respectability, and professionalism.
  • Previous admin related experience in not-for-profit and/or non-government (NGO) organisations (preferred)
