Good Money

Good Money is a joint initiative of Good Shepherd, NAB, and the Victorian Government providing community finance products and services within a place-based model. Due to renewed funding we are advertising for a number of roles across our four sites.

About the role

The Community Financial Inclusion Officer works directly with our clients to guide them through the various services offered by Good Money, including No Interest Loans applications and budgets. These services aim to improve the wellbeing and social Inclusion of people who are disadvantaged and on low incomes. Our clients are at the centre of everything we do.

Using your community services skills, you will assess client needs, eligibility for our services, assist with loan applications, maintain excellent customer records, make appropriate referrals to internal or external supports and assist with day-to-day operations of the Good Money site.

The role will see you working in a small, close-knit team where warmth, professionalism and diligence are shared values.

About you

We're looking for someone with a Certificate or Diploma in Community Services, or equivalent experience working with disadvantaged/vulnerable clients.

If you are warm, professional, committed and reliable and find it easy to learn new systems and processes, we'd love to hear from you.

You must be willing and able to again:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Community Services, or equivalent community services experience
  • Experience working with complex clients or customers would be highly regarded
  • Ability to work from different sites if required
  • A satisfactory National Police Check (or International police check If you have resided outside of Australia within the last 5 years)
  • A current Employee Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or state equivalent
  • Proof of the right to work in Australia
  • The above requirements will need to be supplied and verified prior to commencement
