About the role

The Learning Support Assistant provides day-to-day learning support to the school’s students as well as one on one literacy and numeracy intervention to their educational needs to achieve high school qualifications.

About you

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Qualifications in teaching assistant, learning support or education
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Child Protection policy and practice frameworks and legislation
  • Effective interpersonal, time management, communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing written reports, maintaining records, including case notes and reporting
  • Experience in literacy and numeracy intervention
  • Understanding of learning disabilities and how to support students
  • Evidence of full Covid-19 vaccination, or medical exemption
