About the role

The People and Capability (P&C) Manager position provides an exciting opportunity for an energetic, passionate and creative human resources practitioner as we continue on our journey of transformation.

Good Shepherd has grown significantly over the past two (2) years (this included two (2) organisations merging into the organisation which exists today), creating a need to review and improve processes and procedures to meet the needs of the current and future workforce.

The P&C Manager will play a key leadership role within the team, working closely with the Director P&C to develop P&C priorities; lead and manage projects to improve programs; support the Transformation project and the broader P&C team to ensure we are providing high quality advice to leaders and employees.

About you

Your demonstrated vision and leadership in transitioning to new ways of working will be paramount to succeeding in this role, as will your flexibility and adaptability to operate in a dynamic and complex environment.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor’s degree) in a human resources management related discipline, including human resources, behavioural psychology, business, social science or organisation development
  2. Solid human resources project management and change management experience in a similar position
  3. Knowledge of leading human resource practices e.g. Rainbow Tick Accreditation
  4. Willingness to be proactive and help others, contribute to the continuous improvement of a positive, collaborative and effective work environment
  5. Outstanding verbal and written communication, ability to relate meaningfully to people at all levels and ability to explain complex technical matters clearly and succinctly
  6. Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination, or medical exemption
  7. Previous human services related experience in not-for-profit and/or non-government (NGO) organisations (preferred)
