The People & Capability Partner will form part of a dynamic and talented team of HR professionals and report to the General Manager - People & Capability. Joining the organisation during a period of significant growth and change the P&C Partner will play an integral role in the review and development of best practice people support programs, leading various projects within the function and rolling out new initiatives across the organisation.

This P&C Partner will be responsible for coaching leaders and providing effective HR advice and quality services in relation to workforce planning, employee lifecycle, employee relations, performance management, remuneration, conflict resolution and emerging HR issues.

About you

To be successful in this position, you will possess:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor’s degree) in a human resources management related discipline, including human resources, behavioural psychology, business, social science or organisation development
  2. Solid generalist human resources experience in a similar position
  3. Experience resolving complex and diverse employee relations matters
  4. Knowledge of workplace and employment related legislation and regulation, policy and practice
  5. Knowledge of leading practice human resource practices e.g. Rainbow Tick Accreditation
  6. Experience managing projects and programs to support workforce development
  7. Proven high level of analysis and complex problem solving
  8. Willingness to be proactive and help others, contribution to the continuous improvement of a positive, collaborative and effective work environment
  9. Outstanding verbal and written communication, ability to relate meaningfully to people at all levels and ability to explain complex technical matters clearly and succinctly
  10. Previous human services related experience in not-for-profit and/or nongovernment (NGO) organisations (preferred)
  11. A satisfactory National Police Check
  12. A satisfactory International Police Check (if you have resided outside of Australia within the last 5 years)
  13. A current Employee Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or state equivalent
