About the role

  • Part-Time (0.5FTE) Ongoing – Potential Full-Time Opportunity within Case Management in conjunction with the PSI Coordinator
  • Mornington or Hastings

The Personal Safety Initiative (PSI) aims to assist victim survivors leaving family violence to remain in their homes with additional safety measures. This is a statewide initiative that enables consistent access to safety and security responses for victim survivors across Victoria. PSI forms a key part of the Victorian Government’s response to and focus on family violence. The PSI coordinator will provide high-quality consultation to case managers considering a PSI response for their clients. This role will review safety audits and provide recommendations for safety measures based on the risk assessment and risk management plan in place for the victim survivor.

About you

  • Formal qualifications in Social Work, Human Services or relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience in accordance with REC 209
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM)
  • Experience working in the family violence sector
  • Knowledge of the political and government initiatives driving family violence reform
  • Experience in family violence programs to facilitate safety in the home and/or experience with technologies in the family violence space, such as security systems and security audits
  • Demonstrated experience in providing specialist family violence services for victim-survivors of family violence including adults and children
  • A satisfactory National Police Check
  • A satisfactory International Police Check (if you have resided outside of Australia within the last 10 years)
  • A current Employee Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or state equivalent
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination, or medical exemption
