About the role

  • Salary SCHADS Level 7.1 $100,262 plus superannuation and salary packaging

The Team Leader, Family Violence leads a team of family violence counsellors and practitioners, across Victoria’s Bayside Peninsula and Brimbank Melton areas, to deliver high quality service to women and children who have experienced or are experiencing family violence. This role sits within a leadership team providing extensive knowledge and expertise to all Good Shepherd’s family violence programs, including the Bayside Peninsula Support and Safety Hub (Orange Door), women’s and children’s counselling and family violence case management, including support of clients living within the community or residing in refuge, motel or transitional housing accommodation. .

About you

  • Experience working with high-risk clients in the family violence sector (Essential)
  • Experience working in a leadership role within the family violence, family services, child protection or related context Is preferred
  • Experience In counselling (Essential)
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision to counsellors (Essential)
  • Formal qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related discipline to degree level (Essential)
  • Meet Family Violence Minimum Mandatory Requirements under Recommendation 209: Https://www.vic.gov.au/mandatory-minimum-qualifications-specialist-family-violence-practitioners.
  • A satisfactory National Police Check
  • A satisfactory International Police Check (if you have resided outside of Australia within the last 5 years)
  • A current Employee Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or state equivalent
