About the position

We are seeking a Senior Clinician to deliver clinical support and direct service provision to the Mental Health Intake team.

The Senior Clinician will provide consumer focussed, short term, goal oriented psychological interventions to vulnerable and disadvantaged adults and/or children and their families requiring primary mental health services and be the central point of contact for support around Escalations of Care across our Primary Mental Health and Psychosocial Support streams within GPH.

Based in our Wollongong office, this is a full time position and is fixed term until 30 June 2023. You’ll have the option for a Rostered Day Off each month.

What you’ll need

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Aboriginal health worker, psychologist or provisionally registered psychologist, mental health nurse or occupational therapist or accreditation with the AASW as a mental health social worker
  • experience in undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and development of intervention plans in collaboration with consumers and their family and carers
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic services
