Greening Australia is a national, action-orientated, environmental enterprise. Our mission is to restore landscapes at scale through collaborative, science-based and innovative programs. We collaborate with a broad range of partners to plan, develop, and deliver scalable solutions for the biggest environmental challenges facing Australia.
We believe that people thrive when nature thrives, and we work to translate this shared value into practice. We integrate societal, environmental, and financial benefits for our clients by delivering on ground win / win solutions.
Our program objectives:
GA is at the forefront of the current expansion of the restoration sector and this expansion represents a corresponding demand for a massive increase in a skilled national restoration workforce.
We believe the role of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this work is pivotal and to support this we have developed our Thriving on Country framework.
Thriving on Country (TOC) integrates community engagement and co-design with knowledge and skill-sharing actions to support pathways for employment and enterprise development, within the restoration sector, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
TOC is interwoven throughout all Greening Australia’s programs to ensure delivery of large-scale environmental outcomes while providing economic and social wellbeing benefits to Aboriginal communities across Australia.
We understand that First Nations People’s diverse ways of knowing and caring for Lands and Sea Country, and the inter-generational transfer of Traditional Ecological Knowledge is essential to the success of our work.
In recognising this and that we can make a difference, Greening Australia is excited and proud to begin, later this year, implementing our first Reconciliation Action Plan, 2021 – 2023.
This position will work across all our national program teams to continue the development and implementation of our Thriving on Country program and will guide the implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan.
The role will partner with our business development team to support the development of new business opportunities and our operations teams to ensure we continue to have a measurable and lasting impact on Australia’s unique environment through our programs, services, and partnerships.
Thriving on Country Program Expansion
Active leadership in design and delivery of TOC national expansion:

Greening Australia reserves the right to remove advertised roles prior to the closing date.
