The Role

Located at our Native Seed Centre, the Sales Administrator will be responsible for supporting seed sales and inventory management which includes but is not limited to liaising with customers, order administration and processing, providing market intelligence, seed testing and end of year stocktake. In addition, the role will require some outdoor work including propagation, planting, weed management and seed collection.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience with native seed, nursery, ecology or similar.
  • Qualifications and experience in chemical handling (ChemCert, Certificate of Competency) where project has a weed control component.
  • Current full driver’s licence.
  • 2-5 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Ability to undertake intrastate travel and work at remote project sites.
  • Level of physical fitness
  • Ability to work unsupervised

Desirable Criteria

  • Diploma level or higher qualifications in horticulture, conservation and land management, or bush regeneration desirable.
  • Technical knowledge of native seed collection, cleaning, processing, and storage.
  • Experience with native vegetation management and revegetation techniques.
  • Botanical / vegetation identification.
  • Experience with data collection for monitoring and reporting & R&D projects.
  • Experience in a sales based role.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • 4WD experience.
  • Operate tractors and machinery.
