Digital Marketing Campaigner

Greenpeace Australia Pacific

Greenpeace is an independent campaigning organisation, which uses peaceful, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems, and develop solutions for a green and peaceful future.

The Campaign team is made up of six wonderful Campaigners, responsible for fighting against the planet’s enemies. The primary goal of Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP) is to bring down the might of the fossil fuel order standing in the way of a sustainable future; this team’s job is to run campaigns that fulfil this goal. Whether it’s stopping a huge new dangerous coal mine, taking the fight of the Pacific to the world’s biggest stages, or pushing huge corporations to ditch coal, you’ll be working on campaigns we believe will make the world safer and more just.

The role of the Digital Marketing Campaigner is to deliver an innovative and sophisticated staff targeting strategy that will reach staff in target companies and allow them to see, hear and feel our campaigns. Through targeted messaging, you will shift mindsets within companies, activate staff of major companies in our campaigns and build internal pressure for change.

The work of this role will be a vital part of moving major Australian corporates to meet our campaign demands of moving away from coal and onto renewable energy through developing strategy, creating advertising and web content, and managing digital channels, particularly LinkedIn, but also Facebook, Twitter and web based ads.

The role will also contribute to expanding the body of knowledge and expertise on staff targeting and how LinkedIn can be used to enhance Greenpeace campaigns within the global network. You will have the responsibility of leading learning and development on effective staff targeting within Greenpeace and beyond.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract position.

We’re looking for the best Digital Marketing Campaigner out there – someone who is an outstanding copywriter and has a sophisticated understanding of social media (particularly LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter). You’ll have a thorough understanding of the digital landscape, a strong technical ability in digital targeting, and strengths in content creation for online ads.

You’ll also have:

  • Love for corporate campaigning, and a desire to take on this country’s biggest polluters;
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar Digital Marketing role;
  • Knowledge and/or experience in national or international campaigning;
  • Expertise in lead generation and conversion; and
  • Experience in customer experience and user experience thinking.

  • An incredible opportunity to test out something new and have the time and resources behind you to do it well;
  • The chance to be a part of high impact, fast moving campaigns, which will never be boring;
  • Access to an expert media and communications team, and our extensive research, investigation and creative capacity;
  • Access to our global network of campaigning expertise, and the opportunity to connect with our networks across the world;
  • A great work-life balance including 35 hour work week, genuine flexible working arrangements and integrity framework; and
  • A culture that celebrates justice and belonging.

Salary $72,111.39 per annum + Superannuation.
