Campaigners - Newtown

The Greens NSW

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced campaigners to be part of our Newtown state election campaign team.

If you are a passionate activist, organiser or community campaigner - or you’ve got experience as a campaign manager or doing digital comms - as you want to be a part of shaping the progressive agenda in the NSW state election - then we are keen to hear from you.

The seat of Newtown is currently represented by Greens MP Jenny Leong, who was elected to the NSW Parliament in 2015 as the first Member for the new electorate which stretches from the inner city to the inner west.

Members of the Newtown Campaign team will work closely with Jenny Leong MP and dedicated Greens volunteers, as well as Greens staff, as well as engaging with community groups and community activists.

About the Positions

We are looking to fill a number of positions in the Newtown Campaign team - so that we have the right skills and experience to be able to run a successful campaign and build on our work over many years.

We are looking for people who have experience in some or all of the following areas to be a part of our team:

  • Campaign organising
  • Social media and emails
  • Media and communications
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Managing campaigns
  • Design and materials production
  • Event coordination

We encourage people with diverse experience and candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply - you don’t need to have all of the above skills to apply!

The successful candidate/s for this position will play a key part in the campaign to re-elect Jenny Leong MP at the state election in March 2023. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a dynamic, vibrant and progressive local campaign that will connect with the community and strengthen support for progressive politics.
