The University of Melbourne Graduate Student Association (GSA) is the independent representative organisation for all graduate coursework and research students at the University of Melbourne. GSA is led by an elected Board of 8 graduate students, and on behalf of over 30,000 constituents represents graduate student interests to the University and wider community, provides facilities and services, delivers events and activities to promote graduate student community and academic excellence, and supports 149 affiliated graduate student groups.

The Senior Student Engagement Officer – Grad Groups, has the responsibility to work with the Manager Student Engagement and Communication to execute the Operational Plan in relation to the annual Grad Group program. The role will assist with the development and evaluation of the Plan. The role will have primary responsibility in the Grad Groups team to work with the Marketing and Communication team and to develop the Grad Group Marketing and Communication Plan to support the establishment and promotion of all Grad Groups.
This role will supervise the Student Engagement Officer – Graduate Groups to ensure engagement strategies are implemented to support new Grad Groups to remain connected, consulted, and supported by GSA to meet their objectives and undertake the tasks identified in a timely manner. The role will support collaboration between common interest Grad Groups and link Grad Groups to GSA Student Engagement and Policy and Advocacy teams, to ensure their work is valued and supported.
The role is a full time (1.0 FTE) 2 year contract.
