If you are research impact savvy and enjoy empowering others to confidently articulate and communicate the value and impact of their endeavours, we want to hear from you. We offer a mix of challenge and opportunity in this future-focused role supporting and adding value to the work of our researchers at all stages of their career. This role enables you to help bring to life the great research that is being undertaken here to provide solutions to real-world problems.

We are seeking a team-oriented Research Impact Advisor skilled in framing, developing, monitoring, and reporting an impact from research and the way that research initiatives are established and undertaken with communities, hapū/iwi, businesses, industry, and other research organisations.

Your superb communication skills, proven aptitude/experience in identifying the value of research, and a strong understanding of, or experience in, postgraduate research, the tertiary education, and funding sector, research impact and rankings, will serve you well in this role. You need to be organised, a self-starter with a solution-focus, and skilled in presentations, facilitation, communication, and evaluation.

This role is a relatively new one, enabling the successful applicant to design, implement and maintain mechanisms to support researchers and research reporting. This is a pivotal role in raising the calibre, profile, and culture of effective research planning, engagement, knowledge mobilisation, capture, and evaluation. It sits within a broader team supporting research development and capability building within the Research Operations team and across the university.
