About the role

This exciting and diverse position will undertake a range of activities to develop funding proposals and pursue funding opportunities that expand currently available services within headspace Digital Mental Health Programs.

These activities will include a broad analysis of unmet need for mental health and wellbeing services, as well as analysis of service availability across Australian communities to develop advocacy and service model proposals for funding. In addition, the business development manager will consider the internal clinical and operational structures necessary to support sustainable growth and development of the programs.

Who we're looking for

headspace is seeking someone with:

  • Degree level qualification in business or a relevant discipline
  • Significant experience in business or service development
  • Extensive prior experience in either development or management of clinical/health services or workforce and business modelling
  • Proven experience engaging with a range of stakeholders and funding bodies to establish sustainable growth in health services
  • Broad demonstrated working knowledge of mental health service system and education systems and or telehealth in Australia, as well as national frameworks and policies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of business development, program modelling, and needs analysis
  • Capacity to assess and manage organisation risks, problem solve and ability to negotiate successful outcomes in potentially challenging circumstances
  • Highly motivated with exceptional leadership, project management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and database applications.
  • Access to a safe and confidential space to work from (i.e where you can conduct phone calls of a sensitive nature) and a reliable internet connection (capable of video conferencing).
