About the role

This key leadership position will lead and manage the Workforce Education and Training team at headspace. This team develops and maintains new-starter orientation programs for the national headspace workforce; supports the implementation of new systems, processes and practices; develops education for early career staff; and designs and delivers conference of the national workforce every two years (headspace forum).

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and maintain the team's strategy, work-plan and budget
  • Develop and enhance the technologies, methodologies, capability and capacity of the Workforce Education and Training team
  • Support a high-performing team culture aligned to the values of the headspace way
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at headspace national and across the national network
  • Lead and co-ordinate a cross-divisional team to deliver the headspace Forum
  • Perform instructional design and change management work from time to time

This role is full time, based in Melbourne.

Who we're looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification relevant to workplace learning and change management and/or at eight or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience and skills in leading and managing a team including strategy, work-plans and budgets
  • Advanced skills in instructional design and change management for the workplace
  • A demonstrated focus on collaboration, teamwork and shared success
  • An energetic and proactive approach to work, with a commitment to getting things done and doing them well
  • Ability to identify and apply a coherent structure and sequence to work, including project planning, problem solving, and delivering project outputs and outcomes
  • Strong personal organisation and project management skills
  • Strong internal consulting, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven business/commercial acumen
  • Business software skills including MS Office and SharePoint.
