Tell me about the role

This newly created senior position is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of the headspace National Early Career program. The position will be responsible for operational management to develop and implement various projects as part of the headspace Early Career Program. The role is also responsible for a team of Regional Coordinators who support student recruitment, placement, and training delivery across Australia. This role will be the primary contact for clinical educators (who operate locally across the headspace Network to support early career staff (students and graduates)) and will hold accountability for key stakeholder relationships.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a highly experienced consultative senior professional who has excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills and experience

  • Relevant qualifications in operations management, business administration, health and/or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated extensive relevant project/program management experience.
  • A track record of successful program delivery in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of training and resource packages/programs.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of youth mental health, training and accreditation pathways, and the headspace network.
  • Proven ability to contribute to high level strategic planning in the areas of workforce planning and development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the ability to operate effectively at a national level and build relationships and strategic partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of youth mental health programs.
  • Demonstrated people management skills and ability to lead a high preforming team.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership in the development of integrated research and evaluation.
  • Capacity to travel.
  • Effective budget preparation and financial management expertise.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, with experience in managing and supporting a high-performing team to achieve effective outcomes.
