Tell me about the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced mental health professional to join our clinical practice team. This role is tasked contributing to the development of Family Inclusive Practice, providing clinical guidance across headspace National and the headspace centre network.

What we're looking for

  • A collaborative team player who is focused on continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to provide family inclusive related clinical and professional consultation and support and clinical experience and expertise in family inclusive practice
  • Adept in managing a range of stakeholder relationships
  • Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant allied health discipline such as Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology
  • Significant knowledge, passion and a minimum of 3 years' experience in the health, counselling or mental health field working with young people and their families
  • Extensive knowledge of mental health issues faced by young people
  • Experience in clinical leadership, training and supervision
  • Experience, knowledge and commitment to the participation of family with 'lived experience' to improve youth mental health
  • Understanding of the mental health service system in Australia and the delivery of mental health services in a primary care setting

To be eligible for this position you must

  • Have the right to live and work in Australia
  • Have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent, and/or pass all of the WWCC(s) required for this role (please note that for some roles, headspace requires WWCCs for other State/Territories in addition to your Home State)
  • Satisfactorily undergo a headspace Police Check
  • Have proof of a Covid-19 vaccination in accordance with the headspace COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Policy and any Government directives
