About us

Healthy Mind Solutions (HMS) is a multidisciplinary practice newly established and based in Shepparton, Victoria. Our focus is on providing a comprehensive healthcare service to patients of all ages who are suffering from mental illness and indicated disorders and conditions.

We’re building a team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and allied health practitioners, all collaborating to ensure our patients have access to a wide range of complementary services from the one location, and are provided with streamlined treatment, convenience and comfort.

Our clinical director is a highly regarded and experienced psychiatrist, dedicated to using technologically advanced and evidence-based treatments to achieve improved clinical outcomes for all patients.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic registered nurse who’s looking for a new challenge. As this is a new role, you’ll have lots of input into how we provide support to our patients.

It’s a Monday to Friday role, so no more shift work! The position will commence in November 2021. Ideally you’ll join us full time, however we’re also open to part time.

You’ll bring a drive to achieve patient outcomes, with a flexible, can-do and collaborative approach.

The role includes provision of evidence-based treatment and care to patients of all ages, including assessments, therapy and support for patients with a range of presentations, mental disorders and conditions.

You’ll receive comprehensive training and support to provide therapy, including repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and Virtual Reality. We’re really passionate about rTMS and tDCS, and the options they provide to our patients for non-pharmacological and non-invasive depression treatments.

Appropriately skilled and qualified nurse therapists may also provide individual and group psychological therapy, plus conduct psychometric assessments of patients using evidence-based assessment tools.

Personally you’ll be well supported to provide high quality and efficient service and care, and to extend your skills, experience and knowledge of the latest and emerging technological and evidence-based mental health treatments.

Plus, at Healthy Mind Solutions it truly is a team approach. We collaborate, support one another, and strive to provide excellent service to all patients, and stakeholders. We‘re passionate and dedicated, and you’ll have the opportunity to work, live and provide invaluable support to people in this wonderful regional community. Additionally, you’ll have many opportunities to gain personal and professional rewards and satisfaction.

This is you

To launch successfully into this role you’ll be a Division 1 nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, ideally in a private practice setting.

A nurse practitioner endorsement, mental health nurse credentials or other post-graduate qualification or developed area of special interest experience would be highly regarded, but are not essential.

Current AHPRA and Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia registration, as well as professional indemnity insurance are a must, as is a current driver’s licence and your own transport.

You’re a team player, working effectively with both clinical and admin colleagues, and have great time management skills to support the clinical and documentation aspects of your role.

Proficiency in the Office/Office 365 suite will also stand you in good stead, as will experience with medical software packages used in private practice.

We’re passionate about supporting our team members’ professional and personal growth. So we’re looking for a willingness and drive to learn and grow, plus to contribute knowledge and skills to the rest of the team.

Your excellent communication skills, empathy and responsiveness, combined with professionalism, attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and successfully organise your time, will make you an invaluable member of our team!

Benefits include:

  • An excellent remuneration & benefits package, including relocation assistance and a health/wellbeing allocation.
  • Lots of opportunities to extend your clinical knowledge and skills, in a supportive and progressive private practice environment.
  • Joining a fantastic team, with a comprehensive and collaborative approach to patient care.
  • The satisfaction of truly making a difference in the lives of patients in regional communities.
