About the Role

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Inclusive Employment Supports team on a part time basis. Based in Ascot (North Brisbane), you will be responsible for connecting with and assisting school leavers to achieve their employment goals and social inclusion under the NDIS.

The roles are offering either 14 or 21 hours per week. As the caseload grows you may have opportunity down the track to increase hours. This role may involve working out of normal office hours as well as travel across Help sites to deliver services.

Your key responsibilities are: 

  • Provide a positive and supportive environment for people with disability to assist them with reaching their goals of finding and sustaining employment
  • Create and seek opportunities that enables an individual to reach their own potential as a valued member of their community
  • Facilitate individual and group activities, using a variety of enabling styles including but not limited to job readiness skills, volunteering / work experience, and confidence building
  • Ensure efficiency and compliance with NDIS administrative processes
  • Prepare publicly available reports that track organisational and individual progress

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in enabling people with disability to meet their employment goals (desirable)
  • Experience in facilitating individual and group educational activities
  • Knowledge and experience of current government funding arrangements in particular NDIS frameworks
  • High level of customer service skills, networking and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, travel across Help sites and work outside of normal office hours from time to time
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate – or will to obtain prior to start with Help 
  • Full COVID-19 Vaccination Status
  • A reliable vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance
