Help Employment and Training is a part of HELP Enterprises, a social enterprise that exists to enhance the lifestyle, independence and ambitions of people with disability. Help Employment and Training provide Disability Employment Services (DES) clients with the support, tools and confidence needed to enter or return to the workforce and achieve their career goals.  

We are seeking a motivated and values driven individual to join our Employment & Training division as an Employment Coach. In this role, you will manage a caseload of jobseekers and develop tailored individuals plans that assists them to gain successful, meaningful and sustainable employment or education.

You will provide support through each step of their journey, whilst working hard to achieve key performance indicators. We are currently seeking a bilingual mandarin-speaking individual to join us at our Sunnybank Hills site.  

Your key responsibilities are

  • Become a member of a high performing team across the DES service delivery program, keeping up to date with contractual obligations and changes
  • Effectively manage a caseload of DES clients by providing support, guidance and direction  
  • Create interview and job opportunities for clients via marketing activities with employers
  • Provide advice, guidance and assistance to customers on resume development, completing job applications, job hunting and interview techniques to ensure the best possible chance to achieve employment goals
  • Identify skills gaps and with the customer explore ways to up skill
  • Support the wider team to drive performance and achieve sustainable employment outcomes for jobseekers
  • Ensure government standards and contractual obligations are met within the site
  • Drive business growth through a strong focus on business development and community engagement

About You

  • Prior Employment Services experience will be highly regarded, but not essential
  • Strong customer service and sales experience
  • Reverse marketing, sales or cold calling experience
  • Demonstrated ability working towards targets and KPIs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Strong administration and computer skills – ability to learn technical systems
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Resilient in nature and ability to thrive in a continuously changing environment
