Whether it’s support with getting to work, catching a local footy game or taking the scenic route, Hireup gives people the tools needed to live the most flexible, seamless and supported life possible. With over 60,000 registered users in communities all across Australia, Hireup is a national network of local supports.

The Hireup team is focused on delivering a quality experience for our community, at the heart of which is our Service team. Comprised of our Community Support, Trust and Safety, Complex Support & Onboarding the Service team is responsible for the wellbeing and satisfaction of our clients and workers. As frontline staff, our Service team listens with intent and responds with integrity in its efforts to ensure our clients and workers feel heard, supported and satisfied.

Our Community Support Team provides multi-channel inbound and outbound support to our community, helping our clients and workers to navigate Hireup and find success. The Community Support team leads are responsible for creating the environment and the systems and the leadership for our coordinators to thrive.

Priorities - the work

  • You build trust & safety with your direct report through consistent, fair & quality people leadership practices.
  • Your direct reports demonstrate progress towards their performance, development and career goals through your coaching, feedback & guidance.
  • Your direct reports are engaged & well through proactive leave management, development of individual wellness practices.
  • You proactively identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with your peers to iterate workflows, processes & procedures.
  • You demonstrate autonomy & mastery of the tasks & responsibilities of your direct reports, enabling you to be a consistent point of escalation for your team.
  • Your leadership is creative, insightful & committed to continuous improvement, resulting in community support achieving its team performance targets.
  • You demonstrate a thorough understanding of Hireup’s purpose, strategic goals & social impact, and identify opportunities for Community Support to contribute strategically.
  • You positively & constructively communicate the voice of the community & your team within Hireup.
  • You role model Hireup’s operating principles for your team.

Skills - the person

  • Ability to lead a team of 5-10 people and produce positive individual outcomes for these team members
  • Has experience in the disability or health sector and wants to support our community in a person centred disability support model.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships across all areas of the business and be an advocate for the support team and the value it provides the business and it’s users
  • Has experience providing exceptional customer service
  • Builds relationships through empathy, transparency and warmth
  • Can communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Uses problem solving, creativity and initiative to find the right solution for each individual
  • Is eager to work in a fast paced and flexible environment
  • Is motivated and inspired to learn and develop new skills
  • Wants to work in a role that provides you with the opportunity to connect with our community and make an impact
  • Strong connection to, or interest in building an understanding of the Australian disability sector and community
  • Approach work with high-energy, drive and internal motivation
