The strategic, creative, self-starters in our People & Culture team are tasked with attracting, engaging and nurturing the socially-driven high performers at Hireup HQ. Insights-led and data-driven, they collaborate with team leads across the organisation to ensure they have the best talent, processes and resources to keep pace with Hireup’s rapidly growing community of users. They are people-obsessed and passionate about stewarding a positive, innovative and collaborative culture, always keeping one step, roll or zoom ahead of Hireup’s hyper growth.

As the Learning & Development Manager, your primary focus will be to shape the vision for learning and development and bring this to life at Hireup. In this newly created role, you will be our L&D expert in the team responsible for designing and implementing programs and solutions to build capability and support learning at the organisation, team and individual level. You’ll also be someone who can help us take our career development program to the next level to help our people understand what their next role could be.

Priorities - the work

  • Work closely with our People Partners to shape the vision for learning and development and bring this to life
  • Work closely with our business to build a shared understanding of the capabilities required to support our current and future business objectives
  • Develop a comprehensive L&D curriculum that will support our graduates through to senior leaders continue learning as their role grows and changes
  • Develop, design, implement and facilitate engaging learning experiences, including our Leadership Experience Program
  • Identify and engage external professionals to provide specialist parts of the L&D program. Build and maintain ongoing relationships with selected providers
  • Work with teams and individuals to find learning solutions for their bespoke training needs
  • Manage L&D logistics and processes (e.g., attendance, event management, communications)
  • Review and refresh Hireup’s career development program to drive internal mobility and help staff understand their next career move
  • Measure, track and report on all L&D activities against target
  • Manage costs to annual budget
  • Help to build and drive a culture of continuous learning at Hireup

Capabilities - the person

  • You are passionate about creating and building great learning experiences
  • You have solid experience designing, implementing and facilitating learning programs from scratch
  • You have a great understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles and can apply these in practice
  • You are a confident and authentic facilitator, comfortable working with all levels of the organisation, able to build trust with the business
  • You are comfortable with being both the ‘ideas person’ and the ‘executor’ coordinating all aspects of a training program from design through to facilitation and reporting
  • Understand the value and know how to clearly evaluate learning outcomes and impact
  • Digitally savvy and understand how to facilitate learning with dispersed teams
  • Passionate about making learning experiences accessible for all, including and especially, people with disability
  • Highly collaborative and like working with fast-paced teams in complex environments
  • Have a strong connection to, or interest, in building an understanding of the Australian disability sector and community

Bonus points if you...

  • Have qualifications in Organisational Development, Human Resources, Instructional Design or similar
  • Are accredited in any facilitation tooling or frameworks
