Priorities - the work

  • Responsible for the performance of the website through content in terms of engagement, traffic management and driving calls to action
  • Develop market-leading search content strategies and manage content distribution on the website
  • Aid in the development of best practice documentation for search engine strategies
  • Research the latest trends in search marketing and produce “white papers” to educate the wider business
  • Work with stakeholders in the business to uncover business needs, identify areas of opportunity to increase growth. This should be followed up by the development and presentation of new strategies where applicable.
  • Understanding and contributing to the user journeys through the website and enabling conversion metrics through engagement
  • Strong ability to brief content production and creative teams
  • Actively contribute to company initiatives, processes and roll-outs
  • Oversee written reports and insights on campaign effectiveness
  • Liaise with PPC and Search Engine Optimisation agencies for campaign integration

Project management

  • Develop project plans based on accounts budget and success goals
  • Ensure project plan is followed and account activities are delivered effectively
  • Monitoring the latest advancement in search strategy and ensuring this is raised to stakeholders in the business

Skills - the person

  • Proven knowledge and expertise in the digital space, focused on search with primary focus on SEO & web content with 4+ years commercial experience in a digital content role
  • Working understanding of CRO is advantageous
  • Strong technical expertise in web development and information architecture
  • Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Communicate with confidence and write and present to inspire
  • Proven analytical ability and quantitative skills – strong Excel skills
  • An experienced link building, content marketing and content creation strategist
  • Experience with journey mapping, personalisation and headless CMS is advantageous but not essential
