We are looking for a dedicated and passionate professional to take up an exciting and challenging part-time Administration Assistant role at our Subiaco centre.

The Administration Assistant will complete the daily administration and financial tasks for the centre, as well as provide a high level of service to our customers.

WA PCYC is an incredible organisation that changes the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people at risk in Western Australia.

We currently operate in 16 locations, with 10 regional and six metropolitan centres and numerous, Blue Light Youth Activities and Police Ranger Units across the state. Our organisation is unique through its partnership with the WA Police, and mission simple – to help all children and young people achieve their potential.

Position Profile:

The Administration Assistant's role is to support and improve the PCYC Centre operations by ensuring all patrons receive the highest possible level of service. Additionally, the position also supports youth activities and programs by providing support to coaches and trainers where required.

This position must possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills and enjoy working in a service-orientated role. This position will require working half days on Monday - Friday mornings, 20-25 hours per week.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to centre management.
  • Processing of KinderGym payments, enrolments and queries each morning.
  • Keeping of up to date participant lists for KinderGym, Judo, Wrestling and various other recreation programs. This includes filing of all membership forms and entering of information into necessary databases.
  • Basic financial tasks such as tracking accounts receivable, banking and petty cash reconciliations.
  • Tracking of centre attendances and updating of attendance spreadsheet.
  • Customer service, specifically providing detailed advice and information on the centre’s products and services; responding to patron, customer and supplier queries and problems

To be successful in this role:

  • Experience with Business Administration and Administrative record management
  • Experience in retail management including product sales, stock management, customer service and cash handling
  • Current Senior First Aid & / or CPR certificate (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of email, scheduling, spread sheets and presentation software
  • A current Police Clearance and Working With Children’s Check (or willing to obtain)
