The HSUWA is a diverse, contemporary and growing union. Our members are a wide range of health professionals, administrative and technical staff who work in hospitals and health services, aged care, disability services, imaging, pathology, private practices and allied health. The union is growing union membership, continuing to develop member leadership, encouraging members to actively participate in the union, building and enforcing standards in HSUWA workplaces and campaigning politically.
HSUWA Organisers work to increase power to better the lives of union members, primarily through achieving improvements in wages and workplace conditions. Organisers inspire, empower and unify workers so that they can express their collective power in a positive and effective way. Organisers approach every worker under our coverage with the aim of enhancing HSUWA’s industrial strength, including by recruiting new members and by fostering genuine member solidarity.
