Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre is a small community organisation with a big heart. The centre is based in Telopea, but also supports surrounding suburbs of Dundas, Dundas Valley, Rydalmere, Ermington and Melrose Park. Our vision is a connected community that embraces diversity and collaboration. Our aim is to be a reliable hub of support within our community through the provision of quality services and activities that enable strength, inclusion, and respect, while reducing social and financial disadvantage and distress.
You will work with families and youth or children who are in need, providing practical and emotional support as well as access to the right services, programs and referral pathways. You will develop and deliver indoor and outdoor programs (including school holiday programs) and support our playgroups. Your work will include designing and facilitating information sessions and awareness programs.
Highly regarded would be your ability to speak one or more community languages, knowledge of local community needs and experience working with Indigenous and family violence clients or those living with substance abuse.
For this role, you will need an unrestricted driver’s licence, access to a comprehensively insured vehicle and have or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Criminal Record Check.
DANC values diversity in all its forms and welcomes applications from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, those with ethnically diverse backgrounds or disability.
