Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre is a small community organisation with a big heart. The centre is based in Telopea, but also supports surrounding suburbs of Dundas, Dundas Valley, Rydalmere, Ermington and Melrose Park. About the role

You will work with families and youth or children who are in need, providing practical and emotional support as well as access to the right services, programs and referral pathways. You will develop and deliver indoor and outdoor programs (including school holiday programs) and support our playgroups. Your work will include designing and facilitating information sessions and awareness programs.

• You are committed to making a difference in people’s lives and bring an empathetic, inclusive and respectful approach to your work
• You bring relevant experience in working with families and children or youth
• You have outstanding communication and client relationship skills
• You can demonstrate experience in planning, developing and implementing activities for children, youth and families
• You can facilitate engaging centre-based and outreach activities.

Highly regarded would be your ability to speak one or more community languages, knowledge of local community needs and experience working with Indigenous and family violence clients or those living with substance abuse.

Role Requirements

For this role, you will need an unrestricted driver’s licence, access to a comprehensively insured vehicle and have or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Criminal Record Check.
