The Commission is seeking an ongoing APS 6 Communications officer for the Strategic Communications Team.
Skills Required
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in successful hands-on implementation of communication strategies and activities for a variety of projects.
- Demonstrated experience in media engagement, including the ability to exercise sound judgement in the handling of reactive media enquiries.
- Demonstrated experience managing corporate social media channels to boost reach and engagement, and experience in the use of analytics to measure the effectiveness of social media activity.
- Superior written communication skills, with a track record of writing across a variety of different media and audiences, and an ability to articulate complex information in an accessible and engaging way way.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to perform effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage priorities and tight timelines in the most effective manner.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable:
- Broadcast journalism experience and/or digital campaign experience and/or proven multimedia skills - particularly the ability to create, select and prepare images, audio and video content for multiple channels.
- Experience or familiarity with CMS systems.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other multimedia editing software.
Salary $83,326 - $95,222
