Hume City Council is seeking motivated Maternal and Child Health Nurses with a positive approach to service delivery to join our team. To be successful for this position you will have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency as a Nurse and Midwife and evidence of completion of a Postgraduate qualification in Maternal & Child Health.

Our service is comprised of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including Enhanced MCH nurses, Parent Support Workers, Social Worker and the Universal MCH team, with highly supportive administration staff.

Key Skills

  • At least 3 years experience as an MCH nurse with an understanding of the contemporary practice environment
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex and vulnerable clients, including those experiencing mental health issues, family violence and clients working with Child Protection.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate, confidential records of daily activities, child/family profiles/action plans and maintain other documentation as required, in accordance with relevant standards and privacy requirements.
