Solar Citizens’ staff, volunteers and supporters work for Australia to be powered by 100% renewable energy, where every person can generate, share and access clean, affordable and reliable power from the sun, wind and waves.

TOWNSVILLE ORGANISER

Queenslanders love solar, and the state is on the brink of a renewable energy boom, so this is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting contribution to Australia's renewable energy future. If you’re passionate about people power and making clean energy a reality for North Queensland, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for a dynamic and self-motivated person who has the skills, initiative and drive to grow, develop and support a thriving network of active volunteers in Townsville. You’ll recruit and roster volunteers to look after a campaign shopfront, organise events and network with renewable energy advocates in Townsville and beyond.

ABOUT SOLAR CITIZENS

Solar Citizens represents the millions of Australian households who are powering their lives with the sun and the vast majority of Australians who support the transition to renewable energy. We pursue the largest opportunities to bring on-line as much renewable energy—large and small—as quickly as possible to avoid the climate crisis. We are a charity funded by individual and philanthropic donations and our campaigns and activities are people-powered.

Our vision is for an Australia powered by 100% renewable energy, where every person can generate, share and access clean, affordable and reliable power from the sun, wind and waves.
