Your Impact

As one of the counsellors, you will be a vital member of the Recovery Support Business Unit. This is a position will be responsible for providing psychotherapeutic interventions for Injury Matters recovery support clients. You will have key responsibilities contributing and participating in best-practice recovery support activities such as service design, development, delivery, and policy.

About You

Do you have advanced counselling skills and demonstrated experience working with clients impacted by trauma? Would your team describe you as having exceptional communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively? Do you have experience creating and delivering presentations dependent on the community's emerging needs? Do you have experience writing reports for lawyers? If this sounds like you then we want to hear from you.

Ideally, you will possess a registration with a relevant professional Association and/or equivalent experience working in road trauma and/or mental health.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)– We know that people who want to make a difference have big hearts. At Injury Matters, we believe mental health is equally as important as physical health. Our EAP is available confidentially to all team members.

The technical bits

There are 2x positions available. One is part-time 0.6 FTE and the other full time. Both are max-term position based in our Leederville office. Some intra and inter‑state travel may be required. At times you may be required to work outside of regular business hours. You will also be required to provide a current Police Clearance, current Working with Children Check and a Drivers Licence is preferred.
