The Role

The Support Worker is responsible for supporting clients in their own homes in their day-to-day living, ensuring that they have every opportunity to live a meaningful & fulfilling life, with choice & control. Our Support Workers are:

  • Competent – Having the necessary ability, knowledge, or skill to do something successfully.
  • Resourceful – Having the ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties.
  • Reliable – Consistently good in quality or performance, able to be trusted.
  • Empathetic – Showing an ability to understand and share the feelings of others.
  • Sincere – Free from pretence or deceit; proceeding from genuine feelings.

The role will provide IDS’s Clients with opportunities for choice, self-advocacy and participation in matters relating to the home as well as facilitating access to community services and facilities.

Please note: All candidates must possess or be willing to obtain the following criteria before commencement. They are a current:

  • NDIS Screening Check
  • Two relevant and professional reference checks
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Driver’s Licence, your own vehicle, and Full Comprehensive Insurance
