Position Summary

The Grants Co-Ordinator will work collaboratively with Program Area Managers to support the wider organisation to develop relevant tenders, funding submissions and grant applications in line with our strategic plan. The Grants Officer will manage the online grants portal, analyse data, develop reports for dissemination to the Executive team and build relationships with key funding stakeholders.

Main Tasks

  • Work with third party provider to establish and implement online grant management systems
  • Manage and maintain the online portal of current funding deadlines and activities including managing and recording any variations
  • Assess funding opportunities for suitability in line with strategic priorities of the organisation and capacity to deliver
  • Support managers and teams to develop and manage appropriate project plans and budgets that match funding agreements
  • Maintain, create and compile materials needed for reporting and acquittal of funding
  • Work with third party financial service provider to develop and manage appropriate job and account codes to match funding agreements, including the correct coding of agreement related expenditure
  • Coordinate the development of grant management support materials and practices
  • Provide coordination and guidance on the development of operational planning and funding strategies for new and existing programs
  • Support managers/teams to prepare funding submissions as required
  • Work collaboratively with external established stakeholders as well as developing partnerships and relationships with potential funders and/or businesses/organisations
  • Contribute to organisational knowledge relating to new areas of funding
  • Work with CEO and auditor to assist with end of year financial reporting

Qualifications Skills and knowledge

  • Experience in end to end funding management,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication along with sound interpersonal skills; with an ability to communicate sensitively and respectfully with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner. Be able to manage workload and prioritise accordingly
  • Level of competency with Microsoft suite software, strong organisational ability and a sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated track-record of sound budget development and project planning.
  • Self-directed ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a broader team of staff and volunteers
  • An understanding of principles of confidentiality
  • Willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
  • Multitasking is essential for this role. Adaptability to switch between tasks as required

SALARY

$ 80,000.00 pro rata plus superannuation, salary packaging available
