ILSA is seeking a client focused, highly motivated, and experienced Service Manager to lead our team and work with clients living with physical and psychosocial disability at our Mackay branch.

We are a non-profit community organisation providing in home and community support services to people over the age of 65 eligible for Home Care services through My Aged Care, and people living with a disability over the age of 18.

About the role

The Service Manager is a key appointment within the ILSA Management team, with a primary responsibility to oversee the Mackay office branch, its staff and clientele. Determining the intake of new clients, supporting and advocating for existing clients, and maintaining positive working relationships with clients and their support networks are critical to the role. Mentoring and leading office-based staff and ensuring client support teams are delivering a quality service within a client centred approach are also crucial aspects of the role.

The Service Manager position is full-time with a competitive salary and use of a company vehicle. Capacity to work within the on-call roster is a requirement.

About you

To be the Service Manager, you will come from a background with a proven client-centred focus. You will have experience in managing and leading teams, and an understanding of physical, psychosocial, and intellectual disability. You will be an excellent communicator with proven networking capacity. Relationship and human resource management will also be experience you can demonstrate, along with exceptional organisational skills.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Proven record of working within a client-centred approach
  • Experience with physical, psychosocial and/or intellectual disability
  • Demonstrated leadership and/or mentoring skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Exceptional capacity for problem solving
  • Ability to obtain NDIS Worker Screening (Criminal History Screen)
  • Current Driver License
