Impact X Summit is a meeting place for founders and investors to scale solutions to global problems. Innovators will share next-generation impact technologies that can improve lives and restore the planet.

In September 2021 Impact X Sydney will showcase Australian climate technologies and present commitments from business, government and NGOs to accelerating pathways to zero emissions. The summit will bring to the stage climate entrepreneurs and innovators and connect them with the investors, buyers and impact partners they need to scale. Coinciding with Climate Week NYC and the UN General Assembly, IX Sydney aims to bring a more positive climate message from Australia to the world.

About the role

Impact X is working with leading climate organisations, companies and govt agencies to convene the IX Summit Sydney. The Summit aims to scale technology, investment and collaboration for accelerated pathways to zero emissions.

We are seeking an experienced Sydney-based conference producer to oversee and deliver the IX Summit Sydney agenda. Three main areas covered by this role are 1. to confirm, brief and manage the speakers, 2. to manage a coalition of climate action partners to engage their networks in supporting the Summit and 3. to manage and report the event sustainability.

A passion for the environment and knowledge of climate innovation and the global race to zero emissions is essential to this role. Candidates should be driven by a commitment to detail, efficiency and delivering a high quality and impactful programme.

Reporting to the CEO, the Summit Manager will:

1. Agenda development and speaker management:
   • Own the Summit agenda to ensure objectives and targets are achieved
   • Confirm, brief and manage speakers
   • Write content to support the agenda including synopses, emails, social media posts and reports
   • Upload speaker bios and images to the website
2. Summit marketing and outreach partners:
   • Coordinate an existing group of climate action organisations to promote the IX Summit and engage their networks to drive participation
   • Add new climate action partners to support the Summit
3. Sustainability:
   • Coordinate Summit sustainability framework, goals, partners, planning, implementation and reporting
