We are on the lookout for a Head of Strategic Partnerships and Communications to lead the delivery of our Collaborative Impact social objective – leveraging our products, data & expertise in cross-sector collaborations to improve outcomes for people experiencing disadvantage.

About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the Infoxchange Group’s strategic partnership, public policy, communications, and marketing activities.

This means, you will be:

  • Leading the development of our Collaborative Impact social objective including our participation in collective impact projects where we can see the opportunity to leverage our assets and expertise to “solve” social issues.
  • Managing relationships and representing the Infoxchange Group with key stakeholders including government at state and federal level, philanthropy and our strategic partners across the corporate, academic and not-for-profit sectors.
  • Developing and implementing a public policy strategy and leading our government relations objectives on key policy issues.
  • Leading our experienced brand, marketing and communications team bringing together the expertise from Infoxchange and Connecting Up and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and learning.
  • Overseeing the implementation of branding strategy across the Infoxchange Group to improve our brand awareness and maximise our reach and impact in the community.
  • Overseeing communications, public relations and marketing strategies for the Infoxchange Group aligned with our social objectives and strategic goals.
  • Contributing to Infoxchange Group strategy as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Managing budget and key risks relating to areas of responsibility.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Senior executive level experience in partnership / philanthropy roles, with a preference for experience in leading and participating in collective impact projects.
  • Strong people management skills and proven experience leading teams in a hybrid working environment.
  • Strategic focus with a hands-on approach to deliver priority focus areas.
  • The ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, relate to and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds across the organisation, community, philanthropic, corporate, academic and government sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in branding, marketing, communications and media management, with the ability to develop strategic communications and engagement strategies, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively managing public policy issues from a government relation and/or public affairs perspective.
  • Passionate commitment to the not-for-profit sector including an understanding of effective communications as a driver in sector capacity development and alignment to the vision, mission and values of the Infoxchange Group.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing and presentation skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate field are highly desirable.

This role is a 12-month, fixed term contract, based in Melbourne on either a full time or part time basis.
