About us

We’re InLife. A not-for-profit disability support provider that specialises in working with people with frequent and complex support needs, including 24/7 assistance.

We are building a support team to work in a supported independent living environment comprising of individual apartments for residents living with an ABI

InLife supports a range of clients who live with physical disability, acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, intellectual disability, or autism.

To do a great job, you’ll need:

  • Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn and a commitment to our values.
  • Experience in Personal Care (Showering and Dressing) Assistance with Domestic duties
  • Experience supporting people with a physical disability including transfers/use of equipment and confident in hoisting
  • Experience and understanding of clients with Behaviours of Concern (BOC)
  • Experience in Mental Health would be an advantage but not essential
  • Understanding of and commitment to NDIS policies and principles, especially regarding clients exercising choice and control
  • Willingness to support residents with activities of daily living as well as hobbies
  • Have great patience and be willing to put in the time and energy to build rapport with clients
  • Willing to work with a care team approach and incorporate the guidance of residents, families, and professionals. This would include open communication with all stakeholders to develop strategies to support our clients to live independently as well as creating a welcoming environment to live in
  • Full drivers licence and be willing and comfortable with providing transport in your own vehicle sometimes (we reimburse you for costs)
  • Willing to work varied shifts with varied hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends together with some short shifts, sleepovers and active night shifts. We also need you to be able to commit to ongoing shifts.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives.
