Inspired Adventures is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager who can hit the ground running and has a passion for making a difference. This role is best suited to someone who can use their warm, passionate and authentic nature to build and maintain strong partnerships with charities, NFPs, corporates, schools and universities across Australia and New Zealand.
There is preference for someone who possesses at least 3 - 5 years of relevant sales experience, with proven experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to close. Experience in an account management or client service based role will also be looked upon favourably.
This role works closely with the CEO and Founder of Inspired Adventures and General Manager so the ability to work collaboratively is necessary.
Manage pipeline of B2B leads in the charity, NFP, corporate, and schools sector from prospect to close
Develop strategy and goals for the growth of Inspired Adventures and it’s continued business success
Drive business development and sales plan to grow B2B income
Worked cross-functionally with marketing team to generate new business leads and increase client base
Drive opportunities to manage, nurture and retain relationships with existing clients and increase lifetime value
Create business proposals and supporting materials
Identify and establish business opportunities, product gaps and new viable income streams
Manage processes for maintaining records in CRM and setting up effective reporting
Liaise with the travel team on departure availability and the development of new itineraries
The Business Development Manager must be able to demonstrate:
Relevant sales experience, with proven experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
Experience in account management or client service.
Understanding of the needs and environment of the charity and NFP sectors in Australia and New Zealand.
Strong communication skills and etiquette, including ability to build rapport with leads and clients.
Excellent writing skills and experience executing new business communications and proposals.
Goal orientated and comfortable working with KPIs and sales targets.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Ability to think creatively and lead product development projects.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Upbeat attitude and flexibility to take on new tasks.
Competence in current office systems for word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
Empathy with the mission and goals of the not-for-profit sector, its objectives, opportunities and limitations.
Alignment with the values and mission of Inspired Adventures and a commitment to its growth.
Experience in sales, account management, client service, or fundraising.
Experience with travel, hiking or any outdoor activities.
Experience using Salesforce.
