Case Manager - Coffs Harbour

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated & experienced Case Manager, who is passionate about providing effective support and case management services.


Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of families within your community? This role will provide clients with appropriate and timely support to access services by effectively engaging, screening, assessing, referring, and providing coordinated case management to Interrelate clients. Your experience in case management and skills in managing high parental conflict, will help you succeed in this exciting role. Your strong networking and influencing skills will enable you build rewarding external relationships within the relevant communities.

This role will:

  • Be the primary contact point (of some families) for the local Interrelate intake process including responding to requests for any Interrelate services.
  • Develop family case management plans and monitor the progress of families through various programs, and
  • Undertake intake assessment with clients which includes but is not limited to:
    • assessing eligibility and suitability for services, assessing the person's / family's needs
    • assessing risks (including suicide risk) and,
    • developing action plans to mitigate risks and assisting clients / families to develop their own goals and case/service plans
    • Work with parent/s to improve communication , develop cooperative parenting in the best interests of their children

This is a permanent full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, working 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. This position will be based at our Coffs Harbour office, with travel required within the community and some work from home will also be required. This role is SCHADS award Level 5, hourly rate $46.39ph. The base annual salary for this position will be $90,460.50 per annum, plus superannuation and access to NFP Salary Packaging.

As this position is required to work within an office you are required to be fully vaccinated and stay up to date with vaccines to comply with Interrelates vaccination policy.

  • Half a Bachelor degree in psychology, social work or related discipline; or, a Graduate Diploma in counselling, community service or equivalent in addition to a Bachelor degree that is not a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management with families along with the skills in managing high parental conflict whilst upholding the best interests of the child
  • Demonstrated experience in therapeutic work with families and children; along with knowledge of child development, child protection and family violence issues
  • Ability to liaise with the community and build local networks including family law specialist and magistrates along with experience in dealing with the Family Law System
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
