    The Role

    Work as part of Human Resources Team and use your skills and strengths to develop strategies and programs to enhance the performance, engagement and psychological wellbeing of employees by focusing on a healthy work/life balance, strengthening culture and building better teams.

    • Be responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of fit-for-purpose programs and services to deliver the department’s wellbeing program, employee mental health and wellbeing procedure.
    • Manage specialist programs, services and advice regarding workplace mental health and psychological wellbeing.
    • Contribute to strategy development, clinical governance and quality assurance of employee assistance programs (EAP)
    • Implement programs to support leaders in managing psycho-social risks within the workplace
    • Deliver services which enhance employee mental health, resilience and wellbeing.

    This role provides flexible working hours and days, with an expectation that some after hours and weekend work may be required. Your will be based at our Ferntree Gully office, and report directly to our human resources team leader. You will also receive clinical supervision and mentoring.

    We would love to talk to you if you:

    Are a registered psychologist, social worker or counsellor

    1. Psychologists are required to be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    2. Social Workers are required to be registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
    3. Counsellors are required to be a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA – Level 3) and/or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA – Clinical Member)

    Personal Qualities:

    1. A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute effectively to a team setting.
    2. Seeking to make a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of others.
    3. Good computing skills, superior written skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow administration procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
    4. Has a natural curiosity and enjoys a professional but fun work environment.

    Skill Set:

    1. Have knowledge and experience in managing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and grief and loss.
    2. Have demonstrated skills in short term counselling and psychological first aid.
    3. Have excellent time management and analytical skills.
    4. Have demonstrated ability to work comfortably with a variety of presentations using valid clinical frameworks.
    5. An ability to work competently and independently.

    Prospective candidates will need to undergo a series of safety screening checks before being appointed to any position at IOE. Our recruitment procedures reflect our commitment to the safety of the people we support. Safety screening includes:

    • NDIS Worker Screening
    • A Working with Children Check

    In addition to the safety screening, the successful applicant will be required to provide proof of currency for: first aid certification – Provide First Aid HLTAID0012, manual handling and undertake the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.

    As mandated by the Victorian State Government, all authorised workers, including Interchange Outer East office based and direct support staff must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by 26 November 2021.
