In this role you will build positive relationships with families and staff to facilitate the required level of supports to enable each person to move towards their NDIS goals.

Skill Set:

  • Experience in working with people with disabilities and coordination with a passion to match. Sound knowledge base of disabilities and families.
  • Experience in working with people with behaviours of concern.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Can design and implement support structures.
  • Perfect team player.
  • Experience in working and engaging with families from culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • High level organisational and administrative skills.
  • The ability to successfully prioritise competing tasks.

Prospective candidates will need to undergo a series of safety screening checks before being appointed to any position at IOE. Our recruitment procedures reflect our commitment to the safety of the people we support. Safety screening includes:

  • A Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

In addition to the safety screening, the successful applicant will be required to provide proof of currency for: first aid certification – Provide First Aid HLTAID012, manual handling and undertake the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.

As mandated by the Victorian State Government, all authorised workers, including Interchange Outer East office based and direct support staff must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
