First Nations Media Australia is seeking a part-time Policy Officer to support the ongoing development of the remote media sector. Working closely with the Senior Policy Officer, this role will focus on digital inclusion, telecommunications and media policy as relevant to remote communities.

Experience living in a remote community is preferred as this position will support the specific communication needs and barriers in remote Australia. With significant government focus on digital inclusion and connectivity, this is an exciting opportunity to make real change for people living in remote communities, to access services and to amplify marginalised voices.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants will be prioritised for this position.

0.5 position (2.5 days/19 hours, regular days/hours negotiable) paid at $90k pro rata.

Regional telecommunications experience required.

The Policy Officer reports to the Senior Policy Officer, working closely together to keep across all policy developments relevant to First Nations Media Australia members.
