Are you a recent Business Partner looking for a complex environment to take your Business Partnering to the next level? Are you a Senior Advisor ready for the next step in your career?

Reporting to and working closely with the People and Culture Manager (Head of HR), the HRBP will work to support managers to foster constructive people behaviours within their teams and embed practices that improve employee engagement and performance.

To be successful you will require:

  • The ability to present information clearly and persuasively and seek out the ideas and views of others, and to present well-constructed communications.
  • The capacity to communicate appropriately in a variety of settings, while being consistently professional, concise and engaging.
  • The ability to coordinate information from a variety of sources; identify, define, and analyse operational problems and situations and anticipate potential roadblocks. Be solutions focused in an approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to collaborate with colleagues to seek solutions that are beneficial to all groups as well as forge successful teams among individuals with diverse perspectives and skills.
  • Treat stakeholders with dignity, respect and fairness.
  • Deal with differences of opinion fairly before they escalate into conflict; seek common ground among individuals when opinions differ.

Ideally, you will possess:

  • A undergraduate degree qualification in Human Resources or closely allied field, coupled with generalist HR experience in a Unionised environment.
  • Demonstrated excellence in HR service delivery and ensuring business compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of advice guidance and support to people managers, encompassing the spectrum from employee relations to WorkCover/RTW.
  • Experience in advising managers and staff on people matters, including running investigations and grievance processes.
  • A clear understanding of the application of employment law, including Industrial Instruments.

  • Salary packaging option providing a $6,242.54 annual increase to your take-home pay.
  • Ability to Work from Home/Remotely and a recently opened new office in the heart of St Kilda.
