The Opportunity

Join the dynamic ARC (Acute Respiratory Clinic) team in this growth opportunity as a casual Registered Nurse, where you will be responsible for undertaking triage and screening of patients.

Within this diverse and fast paced clinical role, you will perform and provide patient care within a PPE environment by undertaking triage, screening clients for COVID-19 and respiratory illness to ensure appropriate care. Working within an established PPE zone and under current DHHS guidelines, you will support and provide advice to clients around respiratory illness management including isolation requirements; identify and manage acute illness, refer and transport for tertiary care as needed.

Working closely with Nursing Assistants and other team members on the testing sites, you will provide supervision to such team members to ensue correct use of PPE and adherence to infection control measures, clinical workflows and OHS site requirements.

Our ARC services are provided across west of Melbourne with numerous testing sites accessible to our community. The role requires flexibility to travel to these sites and availability on weekends.

This is a casual position classified under the Nurses And Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020.

About You

You will be an AHPRA Registered Nurse with demonstrated clinical experience within a GP or hospital environment. In addition, your working experience enables your capacity to work collaboratively with diverse communities providing social and mental health support. You will possess a strong understanding of best practice infection prevention and control measure. You are a highly adaptive team player with the ability to work within fast paced environments. Experience within a COVID-19 testing environment will be advantageous.
