Position Purpose

  • A JCAL Support worker provides practical person-centred support to JCAL participants, through group and individual activities, assisting participants to achieve their individual goals
  • You will develop and implement individually tailored plans to support participants to work towards their individual goals

You have

  • The drive and ambition to design and deliver creative workshops to engage and support youth with disabilities
  • Not essential but it would be desirable if you had relevant qualifications (or working towards) in Community Services or Education or youth work or similar
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An energetic, positive attitude with a commitment to personal development and career progress 
  • Ability to work in an ever changing environment
  • Resilience and confidence in conflict resolution to support with challenging behaviours
  • Confidence in developing employer and community partners to establish work experience and employment opportunities
  • An understanding of the NDIS

Essential                  

  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Current driver's license
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Childrens Check
  • Current Police Check
