In this role you will work alongside families to reach out to target communities and to use casework and short-term support for children and families to develop skills to lead more meaningful and connected lives. In addition to your previous experience, strong interpersonal communication skills, organisational, time management and practical administration skills are essential to succeed in this role and ensure families are supported in an empathetic and supportive manner.

You will bring to this role:

  • Commitment to the values of The JNC
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Experience in work with children and families who have experienced domestic and family violence, mental health issues, financial disadvantage, homelessness and/or social isolation.

This part time position is a maximum term contract till 30 June 2025 with extension dependent on continued funding. You will work 28 hours per week predominantly from Maroubra, however you may be required to work at Bondi Junction and at community locations. Days are negotiable, however some flexibility will be required for occasional early starts / late finishes along with occasional weekend work for events.
